Applications made by 3pm, either by email or in person, are usually completed on the same day. If you don’t want to wait at the Service Centre, you can request the details are emailed or posted to you.

All requests from legal practitioners, insurance companies and MAI insurance providers following an accident, must be submitted in writing to the Access Canberra Document Management Team.

Interstate licence history search

If you have an interstate driver licence, contact the state or territory which issued it.

If you need the licence history so you can get an ACT driver licence, you must attend an Access Canberra Service Centre within 7 calendar days of receiving it.

Both a licence and traffic history are needed for Queensland licence holders.
