Any use of explosives on the ACT requires a licenced shotfirer. This includes blasting.

Mutual recognition

If you hold a licence issued by an interstate regulator you can apply in the ACT through a mutual recognition process.

To be issued a shotfirer licence you need to submit a Request for Authorisation of Explosives.

Current fees are listed in the Dangerous Substances (Fees) Determination 2022.
