ACT recycling and waste collection is managed by City Services.

Visit the City Services website.

Residential bin collection

There are 3 bin types that are collected from your household on either a weekly or fortnightly basis:

  • a 240 litre recycling bin with a yellow lid
  • a 140 litre rubbish/landfill bin with a dark green or red lid
  • an optional 240 litre garden organic green waste bin with a light green lid.

If you live in a multi-unit dwelling with shared waste facilities, recycling and waste systems can vary depending on where you live.
