Employment agent licences
As of July 1, 2024, the Housing and Consumer Affairs Legislation Amendment Act 2024 removes the requirement for employment agents in the ACT to hold a licence.
These changes mean:
- Employment agents are no longer required to hold a licence to operate in the ACT.
- An employment agent is still prohibited from accepting a fee or reward from individuals seeking employment.
