Conveyancing transactions and changes to land title ownership are lodged with the ACT Land Titles Office (LTO) for recognition on the ACT Land Titles Register.

The ACT Land Titles Register is the official record of who owns property in the ACT including registered interests on the property such as a mortgage or caveat.

ACTLIS

The ACT Land Information System (ACTLIS) provides access to the ACT Land Titles Register.

You can access ACTLIS as a member of the public or create a subscriber account.

Using ACLTIS you can search for and purchase copies of:

  • title search
  • check searches
  • crown leases
  • deposited plans
  • instruments
  • sublease plans
  • units plans.

Information you will need

To search for a land title, you must have the street name of the property. You can also search by the full address, or volume and folio numbers, or parcel details if you know them.

Plan searches require the plan number. If you don't have the plan number, you can do a land title search first. This will give you the plan number and a link to the plan if you want to order it.

Crown lease searches require volume and folio numbers. If you don't have these numbers, you can get them by doing a land title search first.

There is a fee for doing land title searches. See land title search fees.
