Become an RSA training provider
Registered training organisations (RTOs) need approval to provide Responsible service of alcohol (RSA) training in the ACT.
Eligibility
To be eligible for approval you need:
- a current registration with the Australian Skills Quality Authority
- a course curriculum that covers the ACT’s specific legislative requirements.
The Liquor (Responsible Service of Alcohol Training Course Approval) Guidelines 2022 (No 1) details the specific requirements.
Apply for approval
To apply for approval to offer RSA training in the ACT:
- Complete the Application for an RSA training program approval (PDF 290KB) (DOCX 93KB)
- Lodge your application online.
Approval can take up to 90 days.
Once approved, Access Canberra will:
- send you a certificate
- add your details to Registered training organisations approved to conduct responsible service of alcohol training in the ACT (PDF 135KB) (DOCX 46KB).
Renew your program approval
You need to renew your approval by 30 June every year.
To renew your approval:
- Complete the Application for an RSA training program renewal (PDF 287KB) (DOCX 92KB)
- Lodge your application online.
