The Commission is an independent body established under section 5 of the Gambling and Racing Control Act 1999.

Amongst its activities, the Commission:

  • approves and regulates gambling and racing activities
  • investigates and conducts inquiries into gambling and racing matters
  • collects taxes, fees and charges per gaming laws.
