Late night rideshare zones
Six dedicated rideshare Pick-Up and Drop-Off zones are available in the city to support Canberra’s night-time economy.
The dedicated zones will help rideshare drivers drop-off and pick-up passengers safely from easily accessible parts of the city centre late at night.
The dedicated rideshare zones help improve access to the city and provide convenient locations for passengers travelling to and from the city at night.
The dedicated rideshare zones are opposite or close to existing taxi zones providing people with a convenient choice between rideshare or taxi services depending on availability when they are ready to leave the city and head home.
The late night rideshare zones are located at and will operate from:

The dedicated late night rideshare zones are for pick-up and drop-off only and are not for parking.
Signage is installed at each location to help people locate the new late night rideshare zones.
Yes. You are permitted to enter City Interchange to access the new dedicated Pick-Up and Drop-Off zone at Platform 6 only between 12:30 am to 5 am daily. You will not be permitted entry outside of these hours as Transport Canberra buses will be using the City Bus Interchange frequently.
No. Please use the existing taxi zones provided, including those designated for late-night use in the City Bus Interchange. Taxi zones are provided exclusively to taxis.
No. These zones are dedicated for rideshare vehicles only. Regular vehicles are not permitted to use these new zones. Regular vehicles are also not permitted to enter City West bus station or City Bus Interchange.
