If you’re planning an event or filming project on ACT Government land, we can help you get the permits, approvals and advice you need.
You’ll have one contact person to guide you through the process. They’ll also work with different areas of government for you.
You can get help to:

- connect with the right areas of government to help plan your event or filming
- organise approvals across different areas of government if needed.
Planning an event in the ACT
If you’re organising an event, you may need to:
- book a venue or get approval to use land
- organise a traffic management plan if your event affects roads or public areas
- meet safety requirements for structures, waste management and crowd control
- arrange permits for food, alcohol, fire, fireworks or hazardous materials
- consult with nearby businesses and residents about your event
- manage noise levels if you’re holding concerts, performances or large gatherings
- work with emergency services or organise extra public transport
- arrange insurance and meet any extra rules for fundraising, raffles or grants.
